THE WRENNAVATOR

It was a magical ride for Hazel Park's leading driver on Friday Night, as Peter Wrenn set an all time record of wins by a driver on a card with 8 surpassing Kevin Wallis, Eric Goodell, and Mario Baillargeon who were tied with 7. Listed below are a description of the 8 wins Peter posted on a magical Friday night.

Race 2: CHEYENNE ELI - Pete rated perfectly and kicked the 9 year old in at just the right time in mid stretch to hold off a furious challenge from JL's Last Dance. Win Number 1.

Race 3: ARMBRO APPROACH - Took advantage of a perfect trip to grind down veteran trotter Yankee Monaco in the stretch in the co-featured event of the evening. Win Number 2

Race 4: TRAVOLTA - Not only does Peter drive this horse, but he also trains the 3 year old son of Keystone Raider, who wasn't asked for pace until late stretch en-route to an easy victory. Win Number 3.

Race 5: CC RUBY - In what was one of the better drives I have seen in my 25 years of watching harness racing, Pete ducked Ruby into a tight pocket just before 3 quarters to draft behind the leader and win in the open stretch. Win Number 4.

Race 8 : RODAEO RADER - Tipped out 3 wide and won a game sprint home over You are Precious in the stretch. Not only Pete's 5th driving win of the night, but also his 2nd training win of the eve.. Win Number 5.

Race 10: LITTLE MERMAID N - Another well timed off the pace win as he tipped off cover in the stretch to wear down Sweet Thunder in the final strides. Win Number 6.

Race 11: DOWNTOWN RAIDER: Pounced on live cover and wore down Tymal Triton beyond 3 quarters. Then held off a belated rally from Sam Stone to tie the record. Win Number 7.

Race 12: VIRTUAL PRINCESS: The record was set in a perfect way. An open length win under wraps. The crowd was going crazy as Pete crossed the line securing his name in the Hazel Park History Books. Win Number 8
