NEVADA TO TAKE HAZEL PARK'S SIGNAL IN 2008!
For the first time ever, Hazel Park Harness Raceway's signal will be accepted in Nevada racebooks starting Monday, April 21, 2008. "Our signal will be accepted by at least 60 locations and it could be as many as 80 when it's all said and done," said Asst Mutual Manager Jerry Cusumano. Cusumano traveled to Nevada in March to finalize the deal. The agreement could increase Hazel Park's pools by as much as $150,000 or more on Monday and Tuesday Nights. "Our studies have shown that with the overall lack of a racing product in general on Monday and Tuesday Nights, our pools could rise significantly," said Larry Lavigne, Hazel Park Mutual Manager and Director of Simulcast. Earlier in the year, Hazel Park Raceway reached an agreement with facilities in Great Britian and Germany to begin showing Hazel Park Races. "Quite simply, better pools mean better payoffs for our patrons," said Lavigne. Hazel Park races four nights a week (Mon, Tues, Fri, and Sat) with Post Time at 7:25 PM.
